What is Augmented Reality

Augmented Reality is also known as AR. It is the biggest trending technology these days. And it’s going to increase much more in the near future.

Augmented reality apps let us see the objects in front of us, these objects could be — display a score of sports games, pop-out 3D photos, Show text messages or email, trees in the park, running dogs, boy chasing balls, kids playing soccer, etc.

In Augmented reality developers add digital elements or extra details to a live view captured by smartphones, cameras, or tablets.

What is Virtual Reality?

Virtual reality is also known as VR. It is based completely on an immersion experience in which the physical world is shut out.

There are many virtual devices available like HTC Vive, OCulusRift, or Google Cardboard.

In this user is transported in an imagined environment for example in the middle of penguins, into a forest, or even on the back of a dragon.

In VR, alternate world or reality objects are created using computer-generated simulation.

Virtual Reality technology is used in 3D movies and video games.

This technology is not only used in games and entertainment but also used in training, educations, etc.

Difference Between Virtual Reality And Augmented Reality?

  • In this blog, you will learn the difference between virtual reality and augmented reality? I have differentiated between some of the best features of Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality.
  • Virtual Reality completely creates an immersive virtual environment whereas, in Augmented Reality technology, real-world scenes are augmented.
  • Virtual Reality has 75% virtual and 25% real on the other hand Augmented Reality has 25% virtual data and 75% real data.
  • In Virtual Reality, a headset device is necessary to see the objects while Augmented Reality can work without a headset.
  • Virtual Reality isolates the user from the real world and immerses himself in a totally fictional world just like a matrix movie. In AR technology, the end-users can interact with virtual objects but this can’t be possible with VR technology.
  • VR is used to Enhance fictional reality but AR is used to enhance the realities of virtual and real worlds.
  • VR requires a minimum 50Mbps bandwidth connection whereas AR needs a minimum 100Mbps bandwidth.
  • Virtual Reality completely depends upon user actions but In Augmented Reality, technology partially depends upon the user’s actions.
  • In Augmented Reality, the User has a sensation of presence in the real world. But this is not the same case in Virtual Reality
  • Virtual Reality experiences are getting more realistic because of developments and studies on computer-aided design whereas AR provides a more realistic experience.
  • Virtual Reality experiences are getting more realistic because of developments and studies on computer-aided design Whereas AR provides a more realistic experience.
  • Virtual Reality in-game and movies are used whereas AR technology is well-suited for workforce training, product maintenance, etc

CONCLUSION

With all their differences, Both technologies are promising that will soon take the human-computer interaction on another level.

These two techniques can combine their technology or solely thrive in their range, it is inevitable to adopt them firstly in our work environments and also our daily lives.
